Sephora Sale Guide 2019 Updated

The Sephora sale is back! Below is my updated guide to the sale! I tried to narrow it down to just two so it’s not too massive of a list but hopefully every section you’re wanting to shop is covered! I had a hard time narrowing it down so if there’s any area you want some more options on, just a send me a note or leave a comment and I’ll give you more!

The details: Rouge members get 20% off; VIB members get 15% off – both with the code “SUMMERSAVE” online. In store you just have to have them look up your account.

Makeup

Primers:

  • Fenty Beauty Instant Retouch Primer: I have heard SO many good things about this primer. I meant to pick up a sample but I forgot. So I’ll probably just buy the smaller version and try it out! But when beauty bloggers are telling you it’s legit – it’s probably worth the try!
  • Tacha The Silk Canvas Primer: I have heard so many good things about this primer! It is currently in my cart – I can’t wait to try it. Plus it comes in a smaller size so you can try it without too much of a cost!

Foundations:

  • Hourglass Vanish Stick: This is the current foundation I’ve been using for the last few months after seeing a few other bloggers use it. It took me a minute to figure out how to use it (dab it all over your face and then use a brush to apply) but overall I really like it. It’s really buildable so you can truly get whatever coverage you want and change the amount day by day. I use shade Alabaster.
  • Armani Luminous Silk: This is the foundation I just got a sample of at Sephora and so far I am loving it. It’s reviews are outrageous and a lot of the other bloggers you follow are probably using it. It’s definitely full coverage and a splurge so I could see myself purchasing it and using it for special occasions. I’m shade 3. This also comes in a mini size too!

Concealers:

  • Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away: I use this concealer exclusively under my eyes and it makes such a difference! My under eyes are so bright and I don’t notice any dark circles. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something good for your under eye area. I wear shade 1.
  • Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer: This is the concealer I use on the rest of my face and I 100% swear by it. It’s easy to apply and blend, plus it provides excellent coverage. It’s easily buildable depending on how much you need to cover up that day! I wear shade chantilly.

Blush:

  • Nars Orgasm: Ridiculous name but beloved. Seriously this shade works on everyone. I’m always surprised that so many different skin tones can use this blush but it’s true. Check out the 17k reviews and you’ll see what I mean. (They also make this shade in lots of other products like lip gloss which I also recommend checking out!)
  • Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek: This is the most recommended blush I have heard about in a long time. Seriously – I keep hearing people talk about how good it is!

Mascara:

  • Too Faced Better Than Sex: I’m only recommending one mascara because there is only one I recommend. I recently starting using this mascara and I am OBSESSED. I used to wear more than one mascara every day and with this one I no longer need to. It gets my lashes long, full, and black plus it lasts all day. Not sure what else you could want! There is also a waterproof version too if that is more your jam and there’s also a mini version!

Setting Powders:

  • Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder: I use this powder in the lavender shade under my eyes and it is everything! It really brightens my under eye and makes it look like I got way more sleep than I did! I apply it with a damp beauty blender! (See this post if you need help with this!) It comes in the mini size in 4 shades – the other shade that suits me is “butter”.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder: I purchased this setting powder during the last Sephora sale and I am obsessed! It has such a great finish to it – I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it being pressed but I love it! I wear shade 1 light.

Lips:

*I’m not a big lipstick wearer so I apologize for not having those recommendations!*

  • Laneige Glowy Balm: I love love love the sleeping mask version of this so I was so excited when they came out with a more portable version of it. There’s just a hint of color to these and the same great conditioning for your lips!
  • Marc Jacobs Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick: I love this lip gloss in stick form! It’s much less sticky than most lip glosses. I actually wore this in the color Sugar Sugar for my wedding and was impressed with the color, sparkle, and how it appeared in photos!

Skincare

Masks:

  • Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: If you have dry skin at all, this mask is a must! Your skin will be so soft when you wake up in the morning and so hydrated. Plus a little goes a long way so it lasts forever. I sampled this before the sale and I’m officially obsessed.
  • Dr Jart Rubber Mask: Okay so the packaging on these is a bit weird but I love these masks. First you apply the serum and then you put the rubber mask on. From there you just let it do it’s magic! There’s a bunch of different options but I like the firming one – my face looks amazing when I take it off!

Moisturizers:

  • Drunk Elephant Protini: I’m pretty sure this stuff is magic. My skin is so hydrated and so smooth when I use it. It’s actually a pump – you push the top down to get the product out. It designed to make it easy to mix with your face oils and serums. Overall I was pretty impressed!
  • Sunday Riley Tidal: This is the only moisturizer I’ve ever used where I see immediate effects. Right away and then the next morning, my skin looks brighter. As they state on their website “papaya enzymes smooth and exfoliate while alpha-arbutin visibly brightens the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots.” I’m currently out of this and I’m planning to restock during the sale!

Serums/Essences:

  • Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence: Once again – if you have dry skin, this is a must! I use it every night and I definitely notice it’s more hydrated. This also works as a great primer – your skin is very smooth after using!
  • Algenist Liquid Collagen: If your friend with perfect skin recommend something – you try it! While this is definitely a splurge, I definitely notice a difference in my skin when I use it. My skin looks younger and plumper. I save it for more special occasions or when my skin really needs a pick me up.

Face Wash:

  • Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser: This is the cleanser I’m currently using and it’s so lush. It’s lightweight and feels like silk. A little goes a long way and my skin just feels pampered after I use it. I try and change up my cleansers every few months depending on the season and I’m so glad I tried this one!
  • Laneige Multi Deep Cleanser: This is the cleanser I’m picking up in the sale. I’ve used it before and I loved it! It’s especially great to use with a facial cleansing tool like the Foreo. Your skin will feel so clean after you use it!

Eye Creams:

  • Sunday Riley Auto Correct: The last time I was in Sephora an employee gave me some samples to try and holy cow this stuff is good. There is a pretty immediate effect as far as de-puffing. I can’t speak how it works long term but so far I am impressed.
  • Algenist Genius Eye Cream: So I’ve been using this eye cream for a while now and overall I really like it! It has sort of a weird consistency but makes my under eyes very soft and evens out the skin. It definitely brightens my under eye but I didn’t see a difference in puffiness.

Hair

  • Living Proof Dry Shampoo: This is hands down my favorite dry shampoo I’ve ever used. It’s a little pricy but the quality is worth it in my opinion. I usually stock up during any sale. It doesn’t have that cakey powdery feeling of most dry shampoos. I feel like when I use it there is a noticeable difference in my hair. As far as scents, it smells pretty similar to the rest of their products. I don’t think it’s a strong smell, but definitely check it out in store if you can! I talked about my love for it all other hair products (most from Sephora) in this post.
  • Invisibobble Scrunchie: I wrote about these in this post and the more I use them, the more I love them! I seriously can wear my hair up for hours and take the scrunchie out and there are no dents. Plus I can use it for workouts and it holds great. You can just tell there is way less damage being done to your hair when you use one of these. I have both the pink and the leopard! If you’re looking for a more low key look, I recommend the original bands.

I can’t wait to see what you all end up getting! Leave me a comment and let me know if you get anything from the sale!
