A quick scroll through my feed and it’s easy to tell I love Uggs. Fall and winter it’s all I want to wear. They’re cozy, they’re cute, and they come in so many different styles these days. But they can be a little tricky to style sometimes. They are casual shoes there’s no way around that but how do you make them look cute without looking like you’re not trying? Over the years I’ve come up with 4 tricks that I use to style my looks with Uggs. And these go for other sheepskin boots too, not just Uggs, those are just what I own. Ps. Everything I’m wearing in this post is linked over on the LikeToKnowIt app!
4 Tips for Styling Your Uggs
Don’t Roll Your Uggs with Jeans
I love rolling down my Uggs to create dimension and volume (we’ll get to that later) but my first tip is to not do this with jeans. Especially not with non-skinny jeans. Jeans are already going to create more bulk on your legs – they have seams and thicker material. If you roll your Uggs with your jeans you create even more volume on your legs which creates a more bulky look. Which let’s be honest – is never the look we’re going for! Wear your Uggs straight up with distressed jeans and a nice sweater for a casual but super cute look!
Roll Your Uggs with Leggings
Everything I just said about jeans? Disregard it completely when it comes to leggings if you want to create a bit of dimension to your look. Leggings are already so tight to your skin, rolling the boots creates a fun and cozy look without adding bulk to your look.
Match Colors for a More Sleek Look
If you’re looking to wear Uggs without screaming I’M WEARING UGGS with your look, match your boot color to your pants color. By not breaking up the colors you automatically get a more sleek look that elongates your legs. Your boots won’t be center of attention but instead just a great accessory. You’ll see in the photo that I chose monochrome black but used sequins to still make the boots a bit of a statement.
Cropped Pants with Mini Boots
Looking for a way to style your Uggs into spring? Try cropped jeans with mini Uggs. It breaks up the look but still doesn’t say sloppy. To make this look work even better try a statement Ugg. My outfit would look 10 times better if my Uggs were pink, or purple, or just more of a statement color.
Hope this helped! Can’t wait to see how you style your Uggs!
